About the REGRESSIVE LEFT
The “Left” is now badly splintered. The Left used to be all about standing up for the workers – the working class – against the oppressive class of exploitative owners that employed and more or less owned the workers. The Left was above all for blue-collar workers.
Today, the “Left” is mostly about liberal social values, virtue signaling, negative liberty (fear of strong government), identity politics, love and light, unconditional love, unqualified tolerance, subjectivism, relativism, “all truths” (everyone has their own path and own truth … anti-compossibility) and unrestrained self-expression.
A brilliant documentary highlighting the current crisis in the Left is “The Century of the Self” by Adam Curtis.
Wikipedia says, “To many in politics and business, the triumph of the self is the ultimate expression of democracy, where power has finally moved to the people. Certainly, the people may feel they are in charge, but are they really? The Century of the Self tells the untold and sometimes controversial story of the growth of the mass-consumer society. How was the all-consuming self created, by whom, and in whose interests?
“The Century of the Self asks deeper questions about the roots and methods of consumerism and commodification and their implications. It also questions the modern way people see themselves, the attitudes to fashion, and superficiality.
“The business and political worlds use psychological techniques to read, create and fulfill the desires of the public, and to make their products and speeches as pleasing as possible to consumers and voters. Curtis questions the intentions and origins of this relatively new approach to engaging the public.
“Where once the political process was about engaging people’s rational, conscious minds, as well as facilitating their needs as a group, Stuart Ewen, a historian of public relations, argues that politicians now appeal to primitive impulses that have little bearing on issues outside the narrow self-interests of a consumer society.
“The words of Paul Mazur, a leading Wall Street banker working for Lehman Brothers in 1927, are cited: ‘We must shift America from a needs to a desires culture. People must be trained to desire, to want new things, even before the old have been entirely consumed. […] Man’s desires must overshadow his needs.’”
We now live in a decadent and frequently degenerate society where all that matters is the satisfaction of primitive desires … a lowest common denominator, animalistic society.
Oscar Wilde said, “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.” Hardly anyone looks at the stars now. They are entranced by life in the gutter.
The causes championed by the middle-class Left, all of whom are comfortably off, do not resonate with the working class, who struggle to put food on the table.
The working class are completely alienated from the agenda of the Liberal Left and many find it actively horrifying. Therefore, they are turning more and more to the right and to “traditional values”. They feel safe and secure with the traditional. They are unnerved by the increasingly exotic beliefs of the Liberal Left, beliefs which seem divorced from reality and more related to a world of unicorns, elves, otherkins and starseeds. Nothing like this planet of brutal, talking apes.
The Left ceases to be the Left if it is not standing up for the 99% against the 1% and seeking to end the power of the elites. These days, the Left spend all of their time munching avocado toast, sipping skinny lattes, and engaging in a champagne-socialist lifestyle in the swankiest parts of town while they celebrate how tolerant and open minded they are. These people have nothing in common with the working class, so the working class don’t feel in any way represented by them.
The right – with their hatred of the Other – have managed to get the working class onboard by selling them the message that things will be better for them if the Other is kept out. The Liberal Left, meanwhile, is all about welcoming the Other in, no questions asked, even if the Other subscribes to extremely dangerous religions such as Islam.
The Liberal Left is for the well-off middle class and has nothing to do with the working class. The Labor Party in the UK went down to a disastrous defeat because the party was viewed by many of the working class as an out-of-touch, London-centric, metropolitan elite, much more interested in rarefied, preachy SJW issues than anything connected with helping the poor. Hillary Clinton lost to Trump for exactly the same reasons, and the next Democrat presidential candidate will lose too if they keep playing the same old game. You have to help the workers, not sermonize to them.
Meritocracy must always be for the working class and for the overthrow of the super-rich elites. There can be no new society until the workers are freed from the lowest rungs of Abraham’s hierarchy of needs and no longer have to struggle with basic survival. That’s the root of all of their problems.
The class war has never gone away. It has yet to be won. The Liberal Left is not fighting the good fight. It has gone off in an entirely different direction based on absurd postmodern tropes and the ludicrous ideas of gurus such as Ken Wilber, and pointless religions such as Buddhism, which are about withdrawing from life rather than optimizing life. The Liberal Left spend their time meditating, doing yoga and being mindful, and no time at all engaging with the working class to bring about the Revolution.
The last people who would ever man the barricades are the Ignavi of the Liberal Left. Kumbaya!
There is now an enormous opportunity for a political party that truly stands up for the working class and is truly on the left. The liberal middle classes do not belong to the left. They are bland, banal centrists – Last Men, every last one of them. Fuck their avocado toast and their posh coffees! Fuck their Ken Wilber mind-rot. Fuck the Beatniks and the Hippies. Fuck the Love and Lighters. It’s exactly this drivel about unconditionally loving your enemies that is preventing the righteous Revolution from occurring.
Don’t kid yourselves. The 1% are the enemy. They always have been. We cannot have a New World until they are defeated once and all for all.

The Compossibility
Wikipedia says, “Compossibility is a philosophical concept from Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. According to Leibniz, a complete individual thing (for example a person) is characterized by all its properties, and these determine its relations with other individuals. The existence of one individual may contradict the existence of another. A possible world is made up of individuals that are compossible – that is, individuals that can exist together. Leibniz indicates that a world is a set of compossible things … a collection of things that God could bring into existence. Not even God can bring into existence a world in which there is some contradiction among its members or their properties.”
God is living mathematics, made of living monadic minds. It’s impossible for mathematical minds to do anything non-mathematical. Mathematical monads, in terms of their collective behavior, always choose what is most compossible. It is impossible for the collection of all monadic minds to bring into existence a world in which there is any contradiction among its members or their properties.
Libertarianism is an ideology that is incompatible with social compossibility. Extreme individualism and unrestricted “personal expression” is an Id ideology that collides head on with the Superego rules of society.
In Freudian psychology, the task is for the Ego (obeying the reality principle), to mediate between the Id (obeying the pleasure principle) and the Superego (obeying the morality principle). The Ego decides what is compossible.
Libertarians – extremist individualists with contempt for other people – reject the Superego. They see it as an instrument of the Collective, which they detest. Libertarians are therefore outside the pale of compossibility. No sane society would ever accept a group of hawk predators roaming around doing whatever they want, regardless of others.
It’s not what’s possible that counts. It’s what’s compossible that is all important. Compossibility is associated with the general will and possibility with the particular will.
In our society, it’s essential for the Id, Ego and Superego to all be reflected. We can’t have an Id libertarian society based on extreme individualism, or a moralistic Superego society based on extreme collectivism. We can’t dispense with either the individual or the collective. Via the Ego and the reality principle, we need to focus on what is compossible.
Why has the Liberal left gone so badly wrong, as badly wrong as right-wing libertarianism? It’s because the Liberal Left is an echo of libertarianism and promotes extreme self-expression and identity politics, regardless of compossibility. You can never impose on any society anything that is incompatible with that society, anything that is not compossible.
Let’s say that the USA is 50% conservative and 50% liberal. It is simply impossible for the conservatives to get 100% of their agenda enacted, and it’s equally impossible for the liberals to get 100% of their agenda enacted. If the USA wants to get back into any kind of harmony and unity, the position of the opposition has to be accommodated to some extent. But compromise has ceased to exist in polarized America, and that spells America’s doom, unless it can pull itself out of its death spiral. The Republicans and Democrats are both focusing on what is possible, not what is compossible. The “conservative possible” will never happen because of the resistance by the liberals, and the “liberal possible” will never happen because of the resistance by the conservatives. The compossible is a dialectical synthesis, but if this cannot be negotiated then America will fall into the chaos that marked the end of the Roman Republic.
The ideal society is the one that reflects the healthy balance between the individual and the collective.
We don’t support limitless self-expression and individual liberty. We support the maximum self-expression and individual liberty compatible and compossible with a fair and just society, serving all of its members with equal respect, according to the General Will (not according to countless warring particular wills).
We support a Compossible Society, not an Impossible Society of individuals doing whatever they want, without any consideration for others. All right-wingers – since they despise the Other and the Collective – want to build walls, create friction and indulge themselves, their family and their tribe at everyone else’s expense. These anomics always support inheritance, privilege, nepotism and cronyism, all of which are incompatible with compossibility and equal opportunities.
The liberals likewise have no consideration at all for their fellow citizens, the conservatives, who have very different beliefs, values, customs, and attitudes from themselves.
Only revolutions deliver massive change in a short time, and the most serious revolutions always provoke a bloodbath. Revolutions change the compossibility equation by destroying the opposition. Then anything becomes possible.
If you don’t want a revolution and the violence it entails, you had better start trying to befriend the opposition and reaching some kind of accord. Humanity seems less and less capable of this. According to Oswald Spengler, it’s impossible. Cultures, he insisted, inevitably die and are replaced by brand new cultures with a completely different worldview.

6 Islands
HYPERBOREA
The Hyperboreans of old would have been natural meritocrats. Meritocracy would have come as second nature to all of them, as it does to all rational people, but never to the irrational masses who prefer anything else.
There has never been a meritocracy in the history of the world. In his masterwork, the Republic, Plato established the blueprint for a meritocracy. It has never been implemented. Such a society has never suited the rich, the powerful, or the religious.
How do you produce the best society? There is only one way. You put the best people in charge. You certainly don’t arrive at the best world by putting the worst people in charge (kakistocracy: government by the worst, least qualified, and/or most unscrupulous citizens), or the mob (ochlocracy), or the average people (democracy; mediocrity), or the richest people (plutocracy), or the most religious people (theocracy). The rationally best society is produced, as Plato showed, by putting the rationally best people in control.
Humanity has never tried rule by the most rational and logical. The masses have never stood for it. Why would irrational people ever do the rational thing? The Dunning-Kruger effect says that stupid people cannot recognize their lack of ability.
Justin Kruger and David Dunning said, “Unskilled and Unaware of It … If you’re incompetent, you can’t know you’re incompetent… the skills you need to produce a right answer are exactly the skills you need to recognize what a right answer is. … The skills that engender competence in a particular domain are often the very same skills necessary to evaluate competence in that domain – one’s own or anyone else’s. … The same knowledge that underlies the ability to produce correct judgment is also the knowledge that underlies the ability to recognize correct judgment. To lack the former is to be deficient in the latter. … The miscalibration of the incompetent stems from an error about the self, whereas the miscalibration of the highly competent stems from an error about others. … For success to occur, many things must go right: The person must be skilled, apply effort, and perhaps be a bit lucky. For failure to occur, the lack of any one of these components is sufficient.”
Our world is now more or less ruled by the Dunning-Kruger effect. Stupid people think they’re incredibly clever and that smart people are incredibly stupid, while smart people haven’t realized just how draw-droppingly stupid most people are. When the Dunning-Kruger effect is ubiquitous, a people’s fate is sealed. They will succumb to every kind of conspiracy theory. They will take to prayer and faith, and meditation and mindfulness – activities that have nothing to do with reason and logic, intelligence, knowledge and understanding. They will try everything except the solution to their woes, just as they will believe any truth other than the actual truth (mathematics; rationalism; logic).
CIMMERIA
Other islands exist near Hyperborea. To fully understand Hyperborea, it’s essential to understand these other islands. They all contrast with Hyperborea.
The surrounding islands are: Cimmeria, Abdera, Ignavi Island, Magic Island and Satirical Island.
What are these islands like?
Come on a journey with us to these most exotic isles. You will meet the strangest people.
Let’s start with Cimmeria.
In the Odyssey, Homer wrote, “Sun then set, and shade all ways obscuring, on the bounds we fell of deep Oceanus, where people dwell whom a perpetual cloud obscures outright, to whom the cheerful sun lends never light, nor when he mounts the star-sustaining heaven, nor when he stoops earth, and sets up the even, but night holds fix’d wings, feather’d all with banes, above those most unblest Cimmerians.”
In the ancient world, Cimmeria was the opposite of Hyperborea. While the sun never stopped shining in Hyperborea, the sun never shone at all in Cimmeria. Cimmeria was the land of perpetual darkness.
If Hyperborea is Apollo’s land, let us assign Cimmeria to the control of Dionysus.
Cimmeria was a land of fog and darkness, at the edge of the world, near the entrance to Hades. The Cimmerians were a people cloaked in mystery.
What’s it like to live in a land forever deprived of sunshine, forever starved of the light? What’s it like to have no contact with the light of reason? We must imagine Cimmeria as a land of unreason.
Who are the rulers of Cimmeria? They are Dionysus and Hecate. Hecate was a powerful goddess, linked to the Egyptian goddess Isis, with dominion over sky, earth and the underworld. Where Hades, god of the Underworld, represented the inevitability of death, Hecate represented re-birth and transformation.
In the Middle Ages, Hecate was regarded as Queen of the Witches, and portrayed as an ugly hag or crone leading covens of wicked witches.
Hecate was a triform goddess, associated with three-way crossroads where she could look into the past, present and future, and where divination and communication with the dead were performed.
Offerings were left to Hecate on nights of the Full Moon.
Everyone knows Dionysus, the god of the vine, the god of wine, the god of ecstasy, intoxication, altered states of mind. Dionysus is the Strange God who brings Strangeness.
Have you worshipped at his altar? You do so every time you go to a bar, every time you open a bottle of wine, every time you take a recreational drug.
Nietzsche loved Dionysus. He set him against Jesus Christ.
In that contest, we all take the side of Dionysus.
But above Dionysus stands Apollo.
ABDERA
Abdera was a town in the ancient world famed for the stupidity of its citizens. (Imagine the ancient equivalent of a town in Arkansas.) The thick and heavy air of the town was proverbial for causing idiocy. Cicero called Rome “Abdera” on account of the moronic conduct of its senators.
The term “Abderite” was used by the ancient Greeks as a synonym for “stupid”.
Galen wrote, “In Abdera there are many stupid people, but in Athens few.”
For our purposes, Abdera is an island near Cimmeria, an island of fools, an island enveloped in the Fog of Stupidity.
Abdera Island is an Idiocracy. It supports anarchy and libertarianism. The island is full of paper statues of Ayn Rand that blow over every time the wind blows.
Abdera Island is ruled over by Koalemos, the god of stupidity and foolishness. Aristophanes wrote, “Come, take a chaplet, offer a libation to Koalemos the god of stupidity and take care to fight vigorously.”
If Koalemos is the god of stupidity, who is the goddess of stupidity? She is Dullness and presides over the Dunciad, the world of dunces.
Dullness is the daughter of Chaos and Eternal Night, intent on her mission to convert the whole world to stupidity. Where the alchemists sought to convert base metal into gold, Dullness seeks to establish a new Saturnian age of Lead rather than Gold. She wants to make the whole world into a base, idiotic place.
The translatio studii (Latin for “transfer of learning”) refers to the geographic movement of learning across the globe. Dullness inverts the translatio studii with the translatio stultitia … the spread of stupidity across the globe. She is intent on bringing the endarkenment as the antidote to the enlightenment. Wherever Dullness goes, the darkness of ignorance follows her. Dullness has taken control of all political writing and is determined to extend her reign to drama and literature. She chooses particularly inept writers as her champions.
The power of Dullness is inexorable. No one can resist her power. She despises learning and independent, critical thinking.
Dullness hates accomplished writers and always uses hacks to promote idiocy. She loves the tabloid press, pulp fiction and penny dreadfuls. Dullness demands an indifferent and uneducated public.
Today, the triumph of Dullness is total! Social media is her glorious new kingdom. She has never had it so good.

IGNAVI ISLAND
Ignavi Island, situated within a few miles of Abdera Island, is a grey island covered by fields of the grey asphodel plant and presided over by grey Asphodel, goddess of mediocrity, blandness and banality. Asphodel is faceless and formless. Her partner is Crepitus, the Roman god of flatulence. He is particularly, and indeed explosively flatulent, when he is brought into the presence of anything exceptional, anything of the highest quality. He can’t stand our work. He gets incredibly gaseous and practically explodes.
The people of Ignavi Island are all grey and they march in long grey lines behind blank grey banners.
The people that worship Asphodel and Crepitus are passive, submissive, petty, small-minded, narrow-minded, weak-minded and simple-minded. They long for comfort and nothing else. These people never take on any great challenges, they never willingly endure any hardships. They are Last Men.
Nietzsche wrote, “I will speak to them of the most contemptible thing: that, however, is the Last Man! … Alas! There comes the time when man will no longer give birth to any star. Alas! There comes the time of the most despicable man, who can no longer despise himself. Lo! I show you the Last Man. ‘What is love? What is creation? What is longing? What is a star?’ – so asks the Last Man, and blinks. The earth has become small, and on it hops the Last Man, who makes everything small. His species is ineradicable as the flea; the Last Man lives longest. ‘We have discovered happiness’ – say the Last Men, and they blink. Don’t be one of the blinkers, the hoppers, the fleas. Where are the great humans for the great challenges? Where are those that can endure hardship?
The people of Ignavi Island are shadows. They have no life blood, no fire in their gut, no desire for glory and greatness, no intention of embarking on grand, transformative projects.
The followers of Asphodel are highly attracted to Yahweh (authoritarianism and totalitarianism), Mammon (greed and selfishness), and the Fat Buddha (detachment and avoidance). Yahweh, Mammon and the Fat Buddha preach submission to the elite, wealth-hoarding, illusion and spiritual deception, and breaking your spirit so that you become as grey and pointless as everyone else.
Ignavi Island could equally be called Mediocre Island. Democracy and consumer capitalism hold sway.
On Mediocre Island, the masses can’t get enough of mediocrity. They don’t understand anything else.
Just as stupid people can’t recognize intelligence, the mediocre can’t recognize the excellent, the exceptional. Quality means nothing to them. It’s all about quantity.
MAGIC ISLAND
Magic Island is where magical thinking occurs. It’s the inspiration for theocracies such as Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the WASP Southern States of the USA. Abrahamism, Eastern mysticism and New Ageism are all products of Magic Island.
The people of Magic Island love faith, love and light, unconditional love, prayers, hymns, kumbaya, meditation, yoga, mindfulness. They loathe reason and logic, mathematics, science, metaphysics and rationalist philosophy.
The rulers of Magic Island are Circe and Prospero. Prospero is a powerful magician who can command spirits. Circe is an extraordinary enchantress and sorceress, skilled in the arts of herbs and potions, in the magic of transmutation, illusion, and necromancy. She can even turn human beings into animals.
The hero Odysseus made himself immune to Circe’s spells by taking a black-rooted white-flowered plant called moly.
The real “moly” is ontological mathematics, predicated on the principle of sufficient reason and its corollary Occam’s razor.
Magic Island has no effect on the rational. They see right through the con. Reason is the only thing that never lies.
SATIRICAL ISLAND
Satirical Island is an island where they satirize and mock politics. It’s where all the comedians show up, all the commentators and chatterati, all the critics and skeptics, the cynics and pessimists.
Satirical Island is ruled over by Momus, the god of mockery and censure. He censured the gods for not building a little door into the human breast so that the gods could look into people’s secret thoughts. Momus was notorious for his mocking graffiti.
His consort is Eris, Queen of Discord, always trying to provoke arguments and trouble, always trying to bring disunion and disharmony.
Eris is the goddess of all trolls.
What could be worse than a world of critics and trolls?
Zig Ziglar wrote, “There has never been a statue erected to honor a critic.”
No one has ever erected a statue to a troll.
Coleridge wrote, “Reviewers are usually people who would have been, poets, historians, biographer, if they could. They have tried their talents at one thing or another and have failed; therefore they turn critic.”
All critics are failures at whatever they criticize.
A proverb says, “Those who have free seats at a play hiss first.” Free social media produces nothing but hissing.
Goethe wrote, “The person of analytic or critical intellect finds something ridiculous in everything. The person of synthetic or constructive intellect, in almost nothing.”
H. L. Mencken wrote, “Criticism is prejudice made plausible.”
An unknown commentator wrote, “Criticism is the disapproval of people, not for having faults, but having faults different from your own.”
An unknown commentator wrote, “Having a sharp tongue will cut your throat.”
T. S. Eliot wrote, “Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.”
Theodore Roosevelt wrote, “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
“The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; because there is not effort without error and shortcomings; but who does actually strive to do the deed; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement and who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly.

Critics are always those that failed to be anything better than critics, hence are always bitter, frustrated, negative individuals, seeking revenge.
They despise the creators whose work they critique.
CONCLUSIONS
Let’s consider life on all these different islands. Let’s consider their religions, philosophies, and political systems. What island do we all want to be on? What islands do we definitely want to avoid? What island are we currently on? Can we get off and move to somewhere better?
Let us enter the palace of Apollo and Minerva on Hyperborea, along a causeway lined by enchanting statues of wise owls. Only meritocracy is approved by Apollo and Minerva.
What do Dionysus and Hecate think about politics? On their island of Cimmeria, no one cares. They’re apolitical. They just want to have a good time. They’re party people. They’re hedonists. Hard work isn’t for them. They live in the moment. Their motto is: eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die.
On Abdera Island, they are all libertarians and anarchists. The Dunning-Kruger effect is inescapable on that island. Statues of Ayn Rand, Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan – dumb, dumber and dumberer – stand beneath a vast statue of Dullness. A golden statue of Donald Trump – dumbest of all – is under construction.
You don’t have to be a racist to be a Republican, but every racist that votes puts their mark next to the Republican Party.
Magic Island produces an epidemic of magical thinking – people there believe the most unbelievable nonsense.
On Satirical island, they are all nihilists, skeptics, atheists and materialists.
Who will solve the complex problems of a complex country? – The rich? The banks? The corporations? The families of dynastic inheritance? The cronies? The mob? Or the intelligent? Shouldn’t it be obvious?
The point of this Facebook page is to discuss world affairs using the concrete examples of the six islands we have mentioned. If you can think of additional islands, feel free to make a suggestion.
Our focus is, above all, on meritocracy. We are all for an exceptional society of high-achieving, high quality, optimized human beings, able to cooperate with each other to produce a wondrous society for us all.
Libertarians and anarchists are Discordians and anomics who hate society and seek to disrupt it in favor of privilege, inheritance, nepotism and cronyism – i.e. they always take the side of the individual, family and tribe against justice, fairness, equal opportunities, cooperation, the commonwealth, the general will and the common good.
Bicameralism
“Jack Tanner’s most recent books in particular compare the left brain to consciousness, and the right brain to the unconscious, separate and devoid of language. This is why dreams, where the subconscious is in control, often seem so “unfamiliar” and are not linear, logical and contain no coherent written language. A different ‘type of consciousness’ is being expressed, and the normal, day to day ‘left brain’ consciousness is submerged and temporarily inactive. Lucid dreaming and OBEs are all about getting the ‘brainwaves’ in each hemisphere of the brain in the right configuration, and crucially it is all about having *different* brainwaves in each hemisphere, which leads to different types of mental ‘awareness’, some more logical, some less, some more focused, some totally passive, some in the liminal state between waking and sleep, etc.

“Neuroscientists are frequently those most heavily committed to the empiricist and materialist Meta Paradigm of science. They treat the brain purely in machine terms and have absolutely zero understanding of the human mind and Fourier mathematics. They are locked into seeing mental states as brain states. They have not, of course, been able to establish any link at all between our thoughts and our brain states (i.e. to read off our thoughts by seeing which parts of the brain are active at any instant), but nevertheless they have a quasi-religious faith that they will eventually be able to do so. They have no alternative paradigm for considering any other possibilities. They are like Catholics who believe that no interpretation of the world is possible other than that supplied by Catholic dogma. Rather ironically, neuroscientists don’t think at all. They are supremely lacking in imagination and intuition.
In the 1960s, Roger Sperry and his colleagues carried out “split brain” experiments on sufferers of epilepsy who’d had the corpus callosum (the tissue linking the two hemispheres of their brain) severed to reduce the severity of their attacks. Each hemisphere now operated in isolation, and was discovered to have markedly different properties from its erstwhile partner.
Sperry was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine/Physiology in 1981 for this groundbreaking work. It therefore beggars belief that a neuroscientist could attempt to say that people are not right-brained or left-brained. Of course they are!
Imagine a dominant husband and submissive wife in a house, and imagine that they communicate all the time. Are the decisions taken by the “household” likely to be those of the husband, wife, or both in exactly equal partnership? The fact that the two partners constantly communicate is wholly irrelevant to what decisions are made. Almost always, the preferences of the dominant partner will be manifested. It’s simply stupid – and unbelievable – for a professor to argue that the mere fact that hemispheres are linked somehow means that the hemispheres are equal partners.
The professor says there’s no evidence for right or left hemispheric dominance. On the contrary, there’s vast evidence for this, and none at all that the hemispheres are equal partners with equal influence. If they’re equal, what’s the evolutionary point of even having two hemispheres in the first place? The very fact that two brain hemispheres exist at all is extremely indicative that they have radically different lateral specialisations. If we didn’t need two hemispheres, we’d simply have a single, undivided brain.
Roger Sperry received his Nobel Prize precisely for his discoveries revealing the functional specialization of the cerebral hemispheres. The left hemisphere of the brain is associated with analytical and verbal tasks. The right hemisphere is skilled at spatial perception tasks and music. It has only rudimentary language abilities, but contributes emotional context and understanding to language, and allows us to visualise what the world represents.

Why do neuroscientists insist on spreading these silly myths that there’s no hemispheric brain specialisation? It’s because they are fanatical materialists, terrified of linking the different hemispheres to radically different mental properties, which would throw the entire materialist paradigm into doubt.

The simple fact that most people are right handed rather than left handed or ambidextrous is blatant evidence that one hemisphere is superior to the other. If the hemispheres were equal partners, we should all be ambidextrous, or there should be as many left handers as right handers.
All of Jungian personality typing is based on hemispheric imbalance, with thinking and sensing being left brain properties, and feelings and intuition belonging to the right brain. Extraversion is a left brain property and faces out to the world (spacetime, matter and dimensionality), while introversion is a right brain property and faces in towards the interior world (the dimensionless mental Singularity). Neuroscientists don’t have a clue about any of this. Like old-style behaviourists (whom they strongly resemble), they regard the mind as ultimately non-existent or wholly irrelevant, and that only physical processes happening in the brain have any meaning.
The brain is the perfect dialectical instrument. The left brain is the thesis, the right brain the antithesis, and their common operations (reflecting a united brain) the synthesis.
We are nothing but creatures of hemispheric imbalance. Julian Jaynes’s brilliant theory of bicameralism is all about this imbalance. Jungian psychology is equally dominated by hemispheric imbalance. Neuroscience rejects all of this and blindly proceeds along the road to nowhere, to an “explanation” of mind based on mindless atoms! This, they claim, is rational. (…)

No wonder there’s no evidence when people such as Blakemore are conducting the research. Her remarks demonstrate everything that’s wrong with science and its inherent prejudice against the mind. Blakemore, we can be 100% certain, is not devising any tests to test whether a child is left or right brained, since she has dismissed the whole concept right from the outset. We can be sure her equally blinkered, groupthink, careerist colleagues have exactly the same biases. You can’t get job in this field unless you agree with materialist dogma, just as you can’t get a job in the Catholic Church if you’re not a Catholic.
No one ever suggested that hemispheric dominance results in “blood flow” ever being cut off to the other hemisphere. For optimal functioning, the other hemisphere has to know what its partner is up to! That doesn’t make it an equal partner with equal executive decision-making importance. The unconscious mind is always aware what the conscious mind is doing, and often signalling to the conscious mind to do x rather than y. All of this is dismissed as nonsense by neuroscience, a bizarre subject that studies the brain while ignoring the mind!”
